As a senior in high school, college is on my mind, obviously. But so is knitting. And how can I combine the two?
I'm constantly busy--with college aps, volunteering, grades to keep up. Knitting has taken a step back. Yet I've been dreaming all of my high school life for something to "wrap up" the years, something I can stitch full of memories, something to relax me during this hectic time.
And that, my friends, is a blanket. A blanket I can bring to my freezing dorm room, a blanket my mom can help stitch up with me.
I'll be using the square patterns out of this book:
...along with size 8 needles and mystery yarn to make the most haphazard blanket you've ever seen. The colors will look like, according to my little sister, "rainbow barf", yet I don't care! I'm making the blanket that represents me, and if that means it'll look like vomit, so be it!
I plan to blog the many squares I'll make, along with the whole college process so I can hopefully help another student as frazzeled as I am about it.
Until the first square...
